What

The Pillar Project Foundation is a nonprofit foundation that oversees the mission of the Pillar project: to give people around the world access to and control over their personal data. The foundation oversees the development of all our products, gives research grants, and funds worthwhile projects and startups aligned with our purpose.

Where

The Pillar Project Foundation is located in Zug, Switzerland, home to the progressive Crypto Valley Association. We provide funds for an operating company in London, hold two annual events, and are looking for more possibilities to expand worldwide.

When

The Pillar Project was started by David Siegel and created by the community of volunteers at 20|30. It is now overseen by a group of directors and token holders led by Rob Gaskell.

OUR FIRST VISION OF THE PILLAR PROJECT

The Pillar concept was first conceived 10 years ago in David Siegel’s book, Pull, which imagined personal data control returned to consumers and a singular, interconnected platform to manage all digital interactions.

In this early video, we are given a glimpse into this future, following the life of Maxine, who uses her “personal data locker” to manage her health, home, inventory, finances, travel, communications and leisure from one platform.
